Description
The Super Snipe from 1938, was based on the civilian Humber Snipe chassis, using a more powerful engine taken from the Humber Pullman. Ford, Humber and Morris-Commercial manufacturers supplied vehicles in the 8cwt class. These were generally fitted with Personnel/General Servcie bodywork of a standard design and had a well type floor. The same body was also used for the FFW (Fitted for Wireless) trucks, in which case the internal arrangements consisted of a wireless transmitting table, fitings for batteries and radio equipment, including a No 11 Wireless Set.
