Description
MBT T-90 developed in Russia 1989 by Design Bureau of "Uralvagonzavod", as modification of the tank T-72 (T-72BU). The tank is armed with 125mm smooth-bore gun 2A46M, which can fire different types of ammunition as well as missiles guided by laser beam. Automatic loader use gives an ability to fire up to 7-8 shots per minute. T-90 is able to destroy either ground targets or low altitude enemy’s aircraft and helicopters. Auxiliary armament consists of coaxial 7.62mm machine gun PKTM and remotely controlled 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun 6P49 “Kord” on the turret.
